Fullstack developer, founder of Audio Audit, and the engineer behind Punch Track’s recording platform.

Damian Moore is a fullstack developer based in Brighton, UK, with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Essex. He’s spent over fifteen years building web applications, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines across fintech, marketplaces, and media platforms.
His career includes contributing to ReportLab’s open-source Python PDF library, building payment systems at onefinestay, scaling microservices at Hoop, and deploying machine learning models for fraud detection at Tandem Bank. He works primarily with Python, Django, React, Next.js, and AWS.
Before Punch Track, Damian founded Audio Audit — a cloud-based tool that automatically checks spoken-word audio for technical issues like noise, clipping, incorrect loudness, and silence anomalies. Audio Audit gives publishers and studios a fast, consistent way to validate recordings before distribution.
Building Audio Audit taught Damian the audiobook production pipeline inside out — from the technical standards narrators need to hit, to the back-and-forth between studios and performers that slows every project down. That knowledge feeds directly into Punch Track.
Punch Track runs entirely in the browser using the Web Audio API. There’s no desktop app to install, no plugins to manage, and no audio files sitting on someone’s hard drive waiting to get lost. Damian architected the platform around the principle that recording software should be as simple to open as a web page.
Under the hood, Punch Track handles real-time audio capture, automatic crossfading for punch-and-roll edits, lossless FLAC storage in the cloud, and multi-format export — all without leaving the browser tab. The stack runs on Django, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS, with a Next.js frontend that stays responsive even during long recording sessions.
When Todd Kramer described his daily recording workflow — the context switching, the file juggling, the software that fought him at every step — Damian recognised a problem he could solve. Not with another general-purpose DAW, but with a focused tool built specifically for audiobook narration.
Damian’s experience with Audio Audit, cloud infrastructure, and real-time web applications made the technical path clear. Punch Track is the product of that overlap: deep understanding of the audiobook pipeline, combined with the engineering to deliver it through a single browser tab.
